A 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the 2021 UEFA Champions League final has seen Chelsea crowned champions of Europe for the second time.
Kai Havertz's first-half goal proved to be the difference between the two sides on a night when The Blues produced a disciplined and resolute defensive performance to deny City the chance to add the Champions League trophy to their Premier League and League Cup triumphs.
It was a night of history for Chelsea, who became the first club to win both the men's and women's Champions League titles in the same season. It was also a night of redemption for manager Thomas Tuchel, who had lost the final in his previous role with Paris Saint-Germain.

The goal knocked the stuffing out of City and they never really recovered. Chelsea were comfortable in defense and hardly gave City a sniff at goal in the second half. The closest City came was in the 73rd minute when Sergio Aguero's header hit the post.
In the end, Chelsea held on for a famous victory that will be remembered for years to come. It was a night of triumph for the Blues, a night of despair for City, and a night that will go down in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
