The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers face off in Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. The puck drops at 8:00 p.m. ET, and live coverage will be available on ESPN in the United States and on Sportsnet in Canada.

The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead in the game when Carter Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal at 7:50 of the first period. The Oilers failed to generate much offense in the opening frame, but they managed to tie the game in the second period when Connor McDavid scored a shorthanded goal at 13:27.

The game remained tied through the third period and overtime, and it went to a shootout. The Panthers won the shootout 3-2, with Aleksander Barkov scoring the winning goal.
